Foxes Finish Five to Defeat Lincoln CF

FSA PRO put on an offensive display at the Fox Den last night! The costume contest wasn't the only show as the final score for your Foxes was 5-0 in favor of your hometown team. It was a massive win as there is still the hopes of winning the conference. REAL NYFC plays at Philly in just a matter of minutes...if REAL ties, FSA PRO still has a chance to win the Empire Division as they have a huge rematch against REAL next Saturday, Nov. 2 at 4PM. Here is Coach Holzer's recap from last night's match.

What were the Foxes able to do well that really separated them from Lincoln CF?

Christian Henry's early goal, let alone an amazing free kick, was very important. We put away our chances early which set the tone and allowed us to have a comfortable 3-0 lead at halftime. Our entire movement, communication, and attitude was just where we needed it to be. Finishing the ball is obviously a massive factor that put us in a great spot to win this match.

The red card somewhat early for Lincoln was fortunate for us as well. We we disciplined and well organized and played attractive soccer. It was one of our best games for sure.

Christian Henry's brace was quite impressive. What can you say about his work ethic and his play?

It was an amazing free kick from about 25 yards out. Christian is a great guy on and off the pitch and has a regular fan base at all of our home matches. With his technical abilities and work rate, he creates a lot of problems for the opposing teams. He is also very versatile as he can play almost every position. We are all so happy to have him on this squad.

Your team was once again able to shutout their opposition. What has helped them remain so consistent on the defensive end?

Obviously our goalkeepers have played a giant role in our success...Etan Mabourakh and Jack Carillo have been great and therefore each deserved to play yesterday. Our back four throughout the year has be so good at their positioning and communication which has frustrated the other teams. Clean sheets are always our goal so to have another one means a lot to our overall style of play and mission.

With one game remaining, there's still a chance the Foxes could be top of the table. Regardless, how proud are you of this team in their first-ever season?

We have exceeded all expectations by far. We're a completely new organization with new players, coaches, and staff that have come together so well.

Now with one more game left, we want to win the league...the team deserves it. If REAL NYFC does not win tonight against Philly, we will be able to win the conference if we defeat them as they head back to Hudson Sports Complex next Saturday at 4PM. This would be something the entire HSC and FSA organization deserves and we would be so proud to do this and provide a championship to the Warwick community.
