FSA PRO With Three Important Away Points

FSA PRO has taken another great step to climb the table with a 5:1 win in their last fixture against New Jersey Alliance.

Sunday's evening fixture has offered a lot of excitement to everybody who came to support our team with a total of 6 goals. Our team was determined to mark the next three points in the season, but the first 20 minutes belonged to the host. A great combination freed up New Jersey Alliance's right winger who bulleted the ball past Justin Dunikowski to make it 1-0 (17').

Unaffected by the early opener, the team of coach Walter Jaramillo kept a positive attitude and equalized with a wonderful taken free-kick by Liam Henry just minutes later to make it 1-1 (19'). The two goals also marked the score for half-time.

Our head coach must have found the right words in the changing room as our team approached the second half with a different spirit and energy. Through early pressing and dominance in possession, it was our striker Edwin Hernandez who curled the ball past defense and goalkeeper to make it 2-1 (48').

With a one goal advantage in hand, FSA PRO showed great spirit and left no doubt on who will take the three points from the game. It was again Liam Henry who controlled a long ball, dribbled the defender and fired the ball under the crossbar to make it 3-1 (63') leaving the goalkeeper no chance.

A late goal after a free-kick from the edge of the box by Edison Sanchez, which found it's way via Valentino di Lorenzo to Adrian Sanchez who headed home for FSA PRO, meant the 4-1 (85') for the Foxes. The final highlight of the day came after an amazing effort of Joshua Geller who intercepted the ball at the halfway line, dribbled his way through New Jersey Alliance's defense and beat their goalkeeper in a one-on-one situation to mark the final score of the game with 5-1 (90').

Our team showed again great character, discipline and quality to win their fourth game of the season in an impressive manner.

GAME REACTIONS

Walter Jaramillo - Head Coach

"We started the game slow and allowed New Jersey Alliance to much space in the midfield. This cost us the goal for their 1-0 lead. But it was a wake-up call for my team who answered right away to equalize. At half-time we addressed a couple of points, the intensity in the second half was better right away and resulted in us scoring another 4 goals to win the game. Now that we are home again in our next game, we want to keep the momentum going as long as possible."
