FSA USA Success at WAGS Tournament in DC

This past weekend, our Fox Soccer Academy of the Carolina’s U13, U14, and U15 Girls competed in the WAGS Rael Vodicka Tournament in Washington, DC.

This national event is one of the oldest, largest, and most prestigious girls-only soccer events in the country, and features teams from throughout the United States. On the field, our teams were able to challenge themselves against top-level competition from several ECNL and DPL clubs from various states. Off the field, the players were able to enjoy some downtime and team bonding, including our annual trip to a “haunted" farm in rural Virginia. It was a great weekend for players and families to travel beyond their normal region and test themselves. 

U14 Champions

Our U15 Girls Orange team played in a highly competitive, top-level bracket and finished the weekend with a 1-1-1 record and a +2 goal differential, missing out on a trip to the finals by a single goal. 

Our U14 Girls Orange team was especially successful this weekend with a Championship performance. The team completed an undefeated weekend, winning the finals 3-1 against PDA South ECNL RL. The U14 team was able to welcome two players from Fox Soccer Academy NY for the weekend as well. This opportunity was successful in many ways as the girls were able to add a great deal on the field and become part of the family in a few short days.

We are extremely excited about the opportunities that this weekend has opened for many players to share opportunities and experiences across state (and international) borders throughout the Fox Soccer Academy universe. This is very much in line with Fox Soccer Academy’s player-centric model and we look forward to offering more unique playing opportunities to players.
