Fuchs' 100th Appearance as a LCFC Fox

Updated: Dec 20, 2019

Christian Fuchs - 100th Appearance with Leicester City FC
Christian Fuchs received a medal to commemorate his 100th appearance for LCFC!

We are incredibly proud of our Founder & President, Christian Fuchs, as he recently made his 100th appearance for Leicester City FC (LCFC) in the English Premier League (EPL)! It's truly a blessing to have someone of Christian's stature and pedigree leading Fox Soccer Academy and we can't be more happy for his accomplishment!

It seems like yesterday that Fuchs and the Foxes made their improbable Championship run, but here we stand, several years later, and Christian is still so humbled and happy to be making an impact for such a wonderful club. Although his role has changed over time with LCFC, his drive to push his teammates to get better and to win has not faltered. Getting to the century mark of appearances is no small feat so we congratulate Christian on adding this to his legacy in Leicester!

Despite the Championship season in the rearview, the road ahead looks very promising for the Foxes as they have become reinvigorated this year. They are battling for the top spot week in and week out which Christian is ecstatic about. Fuchs' and his teammates have been in amazing form lately with 8 Premier League victories in a row and most recently, a draw, to Norwich City last Saturday, Dec. 14.

During this nine game stretch, Christian stepped in for an injured Ben Chilwell against Watford on Dec. 4 which was ultimately a historic evening as the Foxes won and Christian stepped onto the pitch as a Fox for the 100th time. He stepped up to challenge in front of the home crowd and enjoyed every minute of it. Although he hasn't been in Brendan Rodgers' starting lineup on a consistent basis this year, Christian is heavily regarded as the best backup LB in the entire Premier League and with plays like this, it's easy to see why...

...Fuchs' speed, positioning, and overall knowledge are very sharp and there is no doubt he has played a large role in leading the young players at the club. As it currently stands, LCFC are second in the standings with the best goal differential in the entire Premier League of +29.

The Foxes have a very interesting stretch coming up as they face Man City at the Etihad on Saturday. City currently stand in 3rd place at 4 points back of the Foxes. No easy test to say the least...

...After this weekend's fixture against Pep and team, the Foxes have the pleasure of welcoming league leaders, Liverpool, to King Power Stadium for a Boxing Day matchup of great magnitude. Klopp and his squad are on a tear right now so Christian and the Foxes are looking to disrupt their form and get a victory which will surely be a nice present to end 2019.

Once again, we would like to congratulate Christian on his amazing accomplishment and wish the Foxes all the best to end the year!
