Jay brings more than 20 years of coaching experience at the collegiate and club levels, along with deep ties to the Hudson Valley soccer community. Most recently, he returned to the sidelines with the Monroe College Mustangs men’s soccer program as an assistant coach. He previously led the Monroe College women’s soccer team from 2019–2022, guiding them to national prominence, and also served as the International Academy Director of Coaching.

"I am very excited for the opportunity to collaborate with Christian Fuchs and the great staff of Fox Soccer Academy. Being back in the Hudson Valley, which has always been a source of pride for me and joining Fox Soccer Academy will now allow for all of us together, as a staff, to shape this soccer landscape and bring a level of education and culture to the Hudson Valley in a way that the good people in this demographic truly deserve.

Jay Myers

Over the years, Jay has played pivotal roles at NCAA Division I programs including Iona College, Manhattan College, and Marist College, as well as NCAA Division II and III programs such as Pace University, Dominican College, and Bard College. His extensive network within the collegiate system will allow Fox Soccer Academy to further strengthen our outreach and provide even greater opportunities for player placement at top colleges.

At the club level, he has previously held leadership positions at Quickstrike FC and Manhattan Soccer Club for which he was the Assistant and Goalkeeper Coach in the USL2, where he built strong programs and oversaw goalkeeper development.

"We're thrilled to welcome Jay to Fox Soccer Academy! Bringing him on board marks another key step in our mission to transform the youth soccer landscape in the Hudson Valley. His experience and keen attention to detail will play a vital role in reshaping the academy as we continue to pursue excellence, and we can't wait to see the impact he'll have on our players and programs.

Victor Tobar - Academy Director

As a highly qualified and experienced coach, Jay holds a United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma, Advanced Goalkeeping Diploma, and a USSF F license.

His addition to Fox Soccer Academy signals not only our intent but also our commitment: to raise the level of goalkeeper development, strengthen our scouting network, and continue building a culture of excellence for players in the Hudson Valley.

"We’re really excited to have Jay Myers join us as our new Director of Goalkeeping at Fox Soccer Academy. He’s got experience in every part of the game—playing, coaching, directing, and recruiting—so he brings a complete perspective to our program. Having him on board makes our academy even stronger, and I can’t wait to see the impact he’ll have on developing the next generation of goalkeepers here in the Hudson Valley.

Jennifer Czumak - Girls Director

Please join us in giving Jay a warm welcome as he begins this exciting new chapter with Fox Soccer Academy.
