The story of Cameron Ashia is as inspiring as they come. Whilst being struck with one set back after the other, this young man kept believing in himself, kept pushing forward, and receives now the rewards for his persistency.
Cameron Ashia was with Fox Soccer Academy from early ages one. Very early it was clear that this young man has not only the abilities to become a great player, but it was esp finally his tireless effort to push himself to the limit, never too tired to keep going and doing more.
After joining the 2022 International Showcase in New York, and playing in front of some major scouts, he shortly after signed for English side Derby County.
He spent a season with the rams, wearing the number 10 jersey and doing his position proud shining with goals and assists. It was last summer when a managerial change came about at the club and the decision was made for Cameron to be released despite his brilliant performances.
What followed was a tough period for this young man. Many unsuccessful trials with professional teams in England came about but decisions didn't seem to go Cameron's way.
2024 International Showcase

So what did Cameron do? He kept working on himself, kept pushing, kept training, and continued the believe in his abilities to be ready when the next opportunity would present itself.
It was early this year when he was invited to a 8-week trial with Huddersfield Town FC. The chance Cameron was waiting for. And he convinced the people in charge from the get go, being brilliant in training and being a game changer in the many friendly games he played for the Terriers.

Cameron has signed a professional contract which will run until summer 2025 with Huddersfield Town FC. He will play for their B team but had already several opportunities to train with the first team.
