FSA PRO's Journey Into The Playoffs

It has been an amazing season for the team around head coach Walter Jaramillo. Here is how the made their way into the 2021 UPSL Playoffs.

The start into the new season didn't go as expected with a 1-2 defeat to Rosedale SC (These two teams should also play an important role in FSA PRO's journey later that season) away from home, followed by two draws with Amigos FC and New Jersey Alliance. Our team was sitting on the 6th spot with only 2 points on the board.

From then onwards things should change and it was in the away fixture at Union County Futbol FC when the team turned everything around with a 3-0 win. What followed were two canceled games which helped our team to further move up the table gaining 6 additional points, and position themselves in 4th place.

Even if our team wasn't able to compete as they wished they could, they stayed focus, always being ready for the next upcoming challenge. After 2 weeks without games, FSA PRO awaited Valley Stars FC at home at Hudson Sports Complex. The wait was over, and as if our players couldn't wait to get their legs going again, they started very strong and left no doubts over who the winner of the game would be. Final score was 5-2 with a great display by our team.

What followed the week after was again disappointing as Sons of Queens Prospects were not able to field a team. Even if it means that another 3 points go towards Fox Soccer Academy, it meant for our boys to sit out another weekend without game. Coach Walter Jaramillo did well in keeping his players focused and to make sure they are ready for whatever comes next.

With two games left this season, the team stayed focus with the clear goal of qualification for the UPSL Playoffs. First they travel to Amigos FC who has been a tough and leveled opponent earlier this season. The game once more ended in a draw making the last game of the regular season an all-or-nothing fixture sitting on 4th in the table with just 2 points advantage to New Jersey alliance on 5th.

For the final regular season game the Foxes faced Rosedale SC who was leading the table in points and to whom our team lost to at the opening fixture of the 2021 UPSL Fall season. Everything seemed to be in favor for Rosedale SC. But with a clear goal our team was working towards for the whole season, our team was very focused and took the game to them. From the kick-off our team showed great intensity and the willingness to go above and beyond. They made sure that all the hard work during the season will come to a successful end and beat the leaders with 4 goals to nothing.

FSA PRO is now traveling for their UPSL Playoff Semi-Final to Amigos FC. We wish the team all the very best, to be successful on the road, and to bring a Playoff final to Hudson Sports Complex.
