President Fuchs' Recap About The UPSL Inaugural Match

On September 7, 2019, the doors to Hudson Sports Complex opened at exactly 4:30PM and hundreds of fans came to visit and support their team, the FSA PRO Foxes! We have been working hard and have been excited about this moment for some time now. It was an amazing night as the first professional team from Warwick, NY competed in an official US Soccer League. Their first opponent: REAL NY FC.

The energy level was high and it was particularly special because Club Owner, Christian Fuchs, was at the match with his family. He was especially excited about the opportunity to watch his team closely in their home opener. He was visiting Warwick due to an international break in the English Premier League. It was perfect timing on so many accounts!

“I’m extremely proud of the team, regardless of the outcome of their first match. It was not what we had hoped for, but the effort and teamwork was something we can build off of," exclaimed Christian Fuchs.

Further more, Fuchs pointed out the importance that the Warwick community now has their very own semi-professional team to cheer on and follow. "We have so many great plans for Hudson Sports Complex and are so happy to call that our home venue for the FSA PRO Foxes. It was truly a delight to see the support of the visiting fans."

Christian took in the match with his family and sat right in the mix of the crowd.

"It was definitely a great evening and we are so grateful to the 300+ people who came out to support and cheer the players on. We are so excited about creating a buzz in our community and hope to grow attendance as the season goes on. Our goal is to make the FSA PRO games events for families, something they can look forward to."

Fuchs is very proud and optimistic about the development and impact of FSA PRO towards the entire community and is so pleased to see his vision come to fruition.

Christian Fuchs is back in England to prepare for the coming EPL games against Manchester United FC and Tottenham Hotspurs FC, but will be following the games live online to support the team in their second league fixture.

"It's unfortunate that I cannot support our team at their second match in person. I have absolute trust and confidence in Head Coach Michael Holzer and the entire team. I know that they will give their best to make our fans proud and to get their first points."

The next game is this Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 6PM at Hudson Sports Complex. Our team is facing Mass United FC who led the conference in points during the Spring season so it will definitely be an exciting match! Doors open at 4:30PM and you can purchase tickets using the link below. We hope to see you at the Fox Den on Saturday!
